Competitors will have to submit a video presentation of maximum 30 seconds of the project in which the robot is briefly presented and which will contain data and images about the robot, its functions, as well as information about the people who made the robot.
The projects will be judged by a jury of members of the Scientific Senate and robotics experts. The technical performance of the robot, its applicability, creativity, mechanical construction and software performance will be scored.
The Scientific Senate will award the most intelligent robot, and the prize will consist of funding for the next robotics project that the winner of the competition will develop. The competition will also award a surprise prize for the most popular robot promoted via the FDVDR’s Tik Tok channel.
The inspiration for this competition was Shakey, the first man-made robot in the 1960s, whose main ability was to choose solutions. Shakey could also walk on, walk down or climb certain surfaces. Today the robot sits in a display case in the Museum in Mountain View in California, USA and has always been a source of inspiration for a variety of events.
