REGISTRATION_Robotics competition „Looking for the New Shakey”
Are you passionate about robotics? Do you have a robot you would like to show off? The Scientific Senate invites you to the “Looking for the new Shakey” competition from 26.05.2023 to 15.07.2023.
We will award a prize to the smartest robot and the prize will be funding for the next robot that the winner of the competition will develop.
Mechanism of the competition
The competition is nationwide and is open to anyone who has created a working robot with software, regardless of its field of application.
To enter the competition, fill in a registration form or access the competition QR code. A short video presentation (maximum 5 minutes) of the robot is also required for entry, containing data and images of the robot, its functions and information about the people who made the robot.
We will score the robot’s technical performance, the robot’s scope, creativity, mechanical construction and software performance.
The competition will also award a surprise prize to the most popular robot promoted via the FDVDR’s TikTok channel.
All videos submitted by participants will be posted on the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania’s TikTok page, EDU Hub by FDVDR. The video with the most likes will win a popularity award.
CONTEST CALENDAR
26 May – 30 June 2023, registration period
1 – 6 July 2023, evaluation of projects
7 July 2023, announcement of the projects that will go through to the final stage of the competition
15 July 2023, a presentation and award gallery and announcement of the winning project.
Participation is free of charge and registration will be done by filling in the FORM.
Participants in the competition are required to comply with the terms and conditions of the following OFFICIAL REGULATIONS of the competition.
