Longevity Conference: “Recent advances in ageing management”_REGISTRATION
Increasing life expectancy and quality of life is the new frontier in medical research, and at the Longevity Conference “Recent Advances in Ageing Management” we will have the opportunity to learn about the latest theories and research in this field.
The event organised by the Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania will take place on 29 March at 15.00 and will bring together leading doctors and specialists, longevity researchers who will discuss the best strategies for active and healthy ageing. Among the topics debated will be the mechanisms of brain ageing and whether there are interventions that can slow down this process.
“Yet what defines our life expectancy? What is the secret? Is it just genetics? Just lifestyle? And what is the epigenetic implication? It seems, however, that we have different contexts in which we develop and grow and this impacts both our longevity and quality of life. Changes modulated by both lifestyle and genetic background are very sensitively linked to the aging process and may be a biomarker of the quality of aging.” (Dr. Emanuela Mercore Huțanu, President of the Romanian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, at one of the previous editions of the conference)
Globally, longevity and extending lifespan are the main science targets, with 2021-2030 declared by the United Nations and the World Health Organization as the decade for healthy ageing.
The event takes place online. The conference is FREE to attend.
A certificate of attendance will be awarded.
