The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for Romania’s Development has set up, starting with February this year, the Centre for Excellence in Anti-Aging Research (CECAA) dedicated to scientific research, documentation, training and development in the field of integrative medicine.
The new centre will be coordinated by Professor Uvan Dr. Ioan Nedelcu, Primary Dermatologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Member of the American Dermatology Academy, will collaborate with other training and research units in the medical and research centres from Romania and abroad.
“We want this integrative health research and training centre to serve as a centre of excellence in integrative health research, training and collaboration that constantly provides information with regards to the latest scientific findings, clinical and observational studies that prove the effectiveness of implementation the concept of integrative medicine. Our main objective is to promote the development, adoption and implementation of integrative medicine in medical practice in Romania, “said Prof. Univ, Dr. Ioan Nedelcu, the coordinator of the Centre for Excellence in Anti-Aging Research.
Among the objectives of the Anti-Aging Research Centre are: design and implementation of research projects in the field of integrative medicine, development of training programs for specialists, organizing seminars, scientific communication sessions and training courses.
It also promotes Romanian researchers and specialists by supporting their participation in national and international conferences and congresses.
The Research Centre will also provide support in documenting, delivering and publishing scientific studies and documented articles, and will promote the revolutionary scientific work in the field of integrative medicine, which encourages the collaboration between conventional and complementary medicine and demonstrate the advantages of integrative approaches in medical act through technologies, therapies and innovative products.
